In late 2022, ORX launched its data science workstream to provide our members with a platform to discuss data science topics with an operational risk perspective in mind. We started this work by establishing the Data Science Working Group.
In response to the number of sign-ups from people with a diverse set of backgrounds and interest in a variety of data science topics, we added the wider Data Science Community last year. Find out what we've got planned on this key topic this year.
2024 plans on data science
This year, we are expanding our workstream further and have a range of activities planned for both groups. A rough timeline can be found below with more details on some of the highlights.
More about our data science activities
Use case collection
We are reopening our use case collection from last year to allow more firms to contribute. The collection will be shared with participating firms.
Thought leadership project
We are investigating how firms can apply a more holistic approach to using data science to support non-financial risk (NFR).
Financial crime/model risk study
We are looking at financial crime models, their specification and model risk aspects.
GenAI risk management survey
We are collaborating with the ORX Cyber Community on a survey to learn more about how firms think about, and approach, risks associated with generative AI, including large language models.
