Understanding Conduct Risk Practices

In the last few years, there has been elevated supervisory scrutiny of conduct issues across the globe, resulting in a number of large penalties and settlements across multiple business lines. 

This has contributed to conduct risk rising to the top of boardroom agendas at banks and insurance companies. At the same time, firms are struggling with an absence of industry best practices and guidance on how to measure and manage this risk type.

In early 2017 we ran a research project with 36 members to better understand current industry practice around conduct risk, its interaction with the operational risk management framework and the shared challenges faced by the industry.
