The industry is increasingly using trigger-based approaches
Studies and discussions from ORX Scenarios highlight the extent to which mature scenario practice increasingly involves leveraging trigger-based approaches to optimise and streamline the scenario assessment process.
Our 2021 Scenario Process Practice Benchmark showed that trigger-based approaches are becoming increasingly prevalent, with nearly 43% of firms reporting that they now use triggers to help prioritise existing scenarios for review or to determine if new scenarios are required. This is driving a reconsideration of annual review cycles as the industry norm.
This paper, which is available to all ORX Scenarios subscribers, sets out current mature practice in trigger-based approaches to scenario assessment and gives guidance to practitioners on establishing or enhancing their trigger processes.
