Practice paper - December 2022
Recent ORX Scenarios benchmarking studies and discussions have highlighted the growing interconnections between scenario analysis and other framework components.
A trend driven by the search for process optimisation, improved collaboration-based outcomes, and organisational resilience.
Our 2021 scenario Process Benchmark Study showed that scenario portfolio reviews are increasingly aligned to wider risk programme components, with cross-programme and cross-business alignment being central to ensuring adequate identification, assessment, and management of risk exposures.
However, the benefits of integrating scenarios with other risk and scenario programmes have yet to be fully realised. This paper sets out the current state of industry practice, providing guidance to second-line practitioners on:
- How to assess their current level of integration maturity
- How to enhance their end-to-end scenario processes to drive further integration
- How to take a coordinated and collaborative approach to integration initiatives
The paper is primarily intended to serve as a practical toolkit for designing a tailored internal approach to integration. The paper and accompanying checklist is available to all ORX Scenarios subscribers.
