The ORX Scenarios team hosted two virtual forum sessions in October, bringing our scenario community together to discuss key issues affecting operational risk scenario analysis.
The event was a success with two packed sessions and a participant-led agenda. Across the two sessions, we were joined by 100 participants from more than 60 institutions.
Read on for a round-up of the discussions, and ORX Scenarios subscribers can watch a video summary of the key points and highlights from the forum.
“To meet this changing environment, we wanted to provide a space for focused discussions on how scenario analysis can form an integral part of financial institutions’ active and optimised risk management as they contend with increasingly complex exposures both now and in the future. ”
Steve Bishop, ORX Research & Information Director
A focus on three specific areas impacting scenario analysis
The discussions at this year's forums centred on three specific areas which are currently impacting scenario programmes:
- What implementing scenarios for risk management actually means for institutions’ scenario processes, practices, and frameworks
- How AI is currently driving new risk concerns within and beyond scenario programmes
- How the industry’s strategic direction of travel will impact institutions’ scenario programmes and what it means for the value proposition of scenario analysis
Subscribers to ORX Scenarios can watch a summary of the sessions and download the slides.
