Achieving integrated Executive Board risk reporting

Executive Board risk reporting plays a central role in how insurers monitor risk exposure, escalate issues and support senior decision-making. This report examines how ORX Insurance members currently approach Executive Board risk reporting, including the structures, content and processes used in practice.

The analysis draws on discussions at the March meeting of the ORX Insurance Sector Governing Committee (ISGC) and findings from a snap survey conducted within the ORX Insurance Sector, with participation from 13 firms. It provides a snapshot of industry practices, covering reporting structures, typical content, frequency and ownership.

The report also explores the extent to which Executive Board risk reporting is integrated with other aspects of risk reporting, highlighting common challenges, including the use of separate data platforms, alongside emerging approaches to improving integration through tools and automation.
