Institutional basis (one survey submission per firm)

Building on our 2025 process benchmark study on the end-to-end scenario process, this study will:

Refine last year’s study by deep diving into a narrower range of scenario process steps, focusing exclusively on scenario development and quantification
Highlight key areas of maturity and immaturity, providing detailed and informative benchmarking at industry, regional, sector-specific, size-based and peer levels
Help inform internal process enhancement initiatives and the search for greater effectiveness and efficiencies in specific areas of scenario development and assessment
Support insightful management reporting and analysis at a range of (higher or more granular) levels of the self-assessment matrix

The study will also enable ORX Scenarios to build a comprehensive data baseline that will help shape the future of the service’s data, practice and community workstreams over the next 12 months.

Why should you take part?

Participants will receive different outputs based on their ORX Scenarios subscription status.

Available to all participants:

Individual benchmark reports comparing participants’ maturity to the rest of the industry and by sector, region and size

Summary benchmark report providing an overview of total industry maturity broken down by sector, region and size

Maturity matrix providing a means of continually assessing the maturity of scenario development and assessment practices

Update to the 2024 ORX Scenarios White Paper: first published in 2024, this short paper on the current state of scenario analysis will be re-issued to reflect the latest advances in scenario development and assessment

Available to ORX Scenarios subscribers:

Peer benchmark reports highlighting participants’ maturity against selected peers (available on request)

Update to the 2024 Scenarios for Risk Management Paper: first published in 2024, this paper will be re-issued to reflect recent advances in the move to risk management uses of scenario analysis

Focused discussions on process-specific priorities to provide opportunities for subscribers to share recent advances in some of the most challenging areas of scenario development and assessment

How to take part

Subscribers to the ORX Scenarios service will be automatically enrolled into the study and will be asked to complete a self-assessment survey against a new matrix as well as a brief practice survey. The surveys will launch on 30 April and will take approximately 75 minutes to complete. The surveys will close on 30 May.
