The Operational Risk Appetite Practice Benchmark identified the current state of the industry with regards to practice, maturity, and the lessons learnt from embedding operational risk appetite.

Since our 2013 study on risk appetite, a considerable amount has changed. This practice benchmark study reflects the current environment and the state of operational risk appetite in the industry.

We anticipated that an increased number of firms have advanced in their maturity. They are moving beyond the challenges of implementing operational risk appetite – which was the focus in the 2013 study – to the challenges of operating and getting value from operational risk appetite.
