The April sessions of the ORX Scenarios Working Group gave subscribers an opportunity to discuss the implications of current geopolitical threats for their operational risk scenario work and to explore wider emerging risk scenario priorities across the industry.
Geopolitical risk was the primary focus of the sessions, with discussions centring on:
- typical transmission channels from geopolitical risk to operational risk, and how these channels are being translated into operational risk scenario work
- the role of scenario programmes in supporting the understanding and management of geopolitical risk exposures
The sessions also considered broader emerging risks within current scenario portfolios, including current emerging risk scenario priorities and the manifestation in scenario storylines of risk interconnections driven by emerging risk factors.
