About ORX
Operational and non-financial risks are complex and increasingly interconnected. Across financial services, many institutions face similar challenges, but have historically learned from them separately. ORX exists to enable firms to learn from shared experience, reduce repeated mistakes and strengthen operational risk management collectively.
Who we are
Founded in 2002 by operational risk professionals, ORX is the world’s largest operational risk association for the financial services industry. We bring banks, insurers and asset managers together to share experience, data and insight, supporting more informed and consistent risk management practices across the industry.
ORX is a member-owned, not-for-profit association. Our work is shaped by practitioners, for practitioners, and focused on long-term industry benefit.
How we support the industry
We support the industry through trusted peer collaboration, high-quality and anonymised operational risk data, industry-led research and shared standards. Together, these help financial firms strengthen decision-making, benchmark their approaches and build resilience in a changing risk environment.
