About ORX 

ORX is the largest operational risk management association in the financial services sector. Established in 2002 by financial firms looking to share loss data, ORX is committed to improving the management and measurement of operational risk. Owned and driven by our member institutions, we bring together hundreds of operational risk professionals to share their knowledge, expertise and experience in the financial services industry. We are a not-for-profit industry association incorporated in Geneva, Switzerland.

The role

ORX is at an exciting time in our 22-year history. As well as developing a number of new services, we are also making improvements to our existing loss data services, including developing a new, improved data exchange platform.

We’re therefore seeking an effective, creative and highly motivated communications professional on a 12-month contract to ensure new projects and services at ORX are launched successfully. You’ll be collaborating with a great team of marketing, communications and relationship management professionals, adding your own input and helping the team to work more effectively. As these are new services and platforms, we need you to be proactive and inquisitive, and to be the voice of the customer in how we communicate. 

Principal duties and responsibilities 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Creating and tracking the success of email campaigns
  • Designing and proofing materials sales or information materials ensuring messaging is clear and that they are on brand
  • Creating automation workflows and lists in our CRM platform (HubSpot)
  • Developing webpages to host information in the most effective way
  • Proactively seeking out opportunities to promote new products and services
  • Writing effective internal communications of projects
  • Managing queries from members and subscribers about new products and services
  • Working with the Membership Relationship Manager and other team members to chase confirmation that information has been received, understood and acted upon
  • Managing the creation and monitoring of reports to share with wider ORX team on responses and progress against project milestones
  • Working with relevant ORX team members to produce “how to” videos, knowledge base, and/or training guides for both internal ORX team members and members/subscribers
  • Developing FAQs based on questions coming in as projects progress
  • Documenting and coordinating processes to ensure everyone in the team understands their responsibilities
  • Creating promotional materials, videos, social media posts, and podcast scripts as required
